Born in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, England, on Feb. 22, 1944, Keith slipped away from us with family around him at Victoria Hospice on June 9, 2008 after a 3-year battle with cancer. He is survived by Barbara, his devoted wife of 22 years, daughter Lisa (Brian), grandson Colton and former wife Val, and two stepsons Jeff (Heather) and Lindsay (Steph) Cox. He is also survived by his mother Ruth (95) and sister Rosemary (Peter) and family in Devon, England. Predeceased by his father, Harry, in 1967.

Keith came to Canada the same year, settled in Ottawa and joined the Nepean Police, later becoming a 25-year member of the Oak Bay Police Dept. Known for his sense of humour and love of comedy, he created memorable roles with St. Luke’s Players, Masques, Victoria Mystery Theatre and Four Seasons Musical Theatre. Keith was an active member of Christ Church Cathedral, serving for a time as verger. He will be greatly missed by us all.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Christ Church Cathedral, Quadra at Rockland, Victoria, with reception to follow at the Cathedral. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency of Vancouver Island, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria BC, V8R 6V5.
