It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kendall Dueck on October 28th 2023, after a year long battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Victoria BC where she was an all-star athlete throughout her formative years and went on to win multiple bodybuilding shows. Years later, she met her husband Steve with whom she spent 30 years with and became devoted mother to her three kids; they were her world. She was the most caring, genuine, and thoughtful Mother. She was never one to judge and always saw people for who they were despite their faults. Through any kinds of turbulence her perspective was unmatched as she always provided perfect and balanced insight. She had a unique relationship with all her kids providing a place of solace, which will be cherished forever.

She would always listen to the little things people would mention and gave the most thoughtful gifts making every holiday and event special. She loved decorating, shopping, music and went to dozens of concerts with her daughter Avery. She was known for her edgy sense of style, love of tattoos in addition to her organized nature and attention to detail. People that were close to her would know in the toughest situations she handled them with grace and exhibited exquisite strength. She will forever be an inspiration to all of us. She left this world too soon and if love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. She had a bond with her three kids that was so special and can never be replaced by anyone. There was so much more left for her to experience however we know she is always looking down on us.

Her devotion as a mother is one of the most remarkable and respectable things about her and she set an example for all of us. Even in her most difficult moments she showed unwavering strength and always made those around her know they were loved; she was the most incredible woman. She is lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Avery, Brayden, Kash, Husband Steve, Mother Joan, and Brother Kevin, in addition to many family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm.

My sincere condolences to Kendall’s beloved family. I know how incredibly important you all are to Kendall and I can’t even imagine this loss for all of you. Please know that you’re in my thoughts.

I met Kendall in high school and through the years we shared lots of great times that I have memories of to cherish. Some of my favourite memories are of working out, watching her train for The Gold’s Classic and a few epic parties. We lost touch, but anytime we ran into each other it was like no time had passed. Her absolute favourite topic was always her kids. She was so proud to be a mom and loved it more than anything. Her energy and light shone so brightly. It was a privilege to know her. I’ll never forget you Kendall. Shine on beautiful girl.

Still in disbelief that our precious Kendall has left the earthly plane. She was one of kind. Over the years, so many laughs shared, and as captured in her obituary, she had an incredibly calming wisdom. Beautiful in her soul, right to her core. A ten out of ten.

She cherished her family first, and was such a devoted mother, and wife. I will miss our 3-4 hour coffee dates and lengthy lunches my dear friend.

Blessed to have had brunch with ‘our girls’ in May, and do a lap around Mayfair. Condolences to all that had the privilege of knowing her.

Till we meet again~love you~ Godspeed. Eleanor & Chloe xo
