Ken, son of Jeremiah Jones, passed away peacefully in Victoria, BC on October 9, 2015. Born on November 3, 1916, in Pontypool, Wales, he moved to Worcester, England, where he was a weaver. He immigrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1952 with his wife, Connie (nee Baker) of Marsh Farm, Worcester. He worked in Toronto as a tool and die maker, retiring from IBM in the early 1980s before moving to Victoria in 1996. Throughout his life Ken was an active member of the Christadelphian community. His enthusiastic singing and volunteer gardening are fondly remembered. Survived by his grandchildren, Trudy Perks (Barrie, Ontario), Benjamin Jones (Seattle, Washington), Matthew Jones (Manhattan Beach, California) and Krista Ricchi (Florence, Italy); great-grandchildren, Isaac, Miriam, Eden, Aaron, Simon and Zoe. Predeceased by his wife, Connie; son, Richard; sister, Sibyl and brothers, Phil, Stanley, Freddy and Rhys.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Christadelphian Hall, 1396 McKenzie Ave, Victoria, on Saturday, October 24 at 2pm. Reception to follow. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
