All through high school, Kim was cool and kind and upheld her own distinct sense of elegance and style. She was distinct. We played saxophone in band together (she effortlessly; myself terribly), ‘played’ tennis in the summers (not sure how that happened considering we skipped gym at every possibility), but mostly we gossiped through our difficulties and made light of our challenges. Earnest and optimistic, she was always there for her friends. Her hair was always perfect and her cheeky smile is emblazoned in my mind. We’ll miss you lovely. My thoughts are with her family and everyone else whose lives she touched.

    Dear Kim’s family,

I am shocked and saddened to read of Kim’s passing. Kim was a friend of mine in high school and I fondly remember catching up with her at our 10 and 20 year reunions. As so many others have mentioned, Kim was extremely caring – she took the time to check in with me twice after my mom’s passing over a year ago (just one small example of her kindness). My heart breaks for her two beautiful daughters, mother, siblings, and all the rest of her family. Love to you all and wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

This news has come as quite a shock. Kim was one that made everyone feel welcome and cared for. She was a quiet caring person never needing to make a big presence known. In recent years she was so kind and always asking about my new daughter and I, one to go out of her way to ask after others when I sadly didn’t know about her own struggles. May she rest in peace and may her girls know what a beautiful soul their mother was. Kindest regards to her family.

I taught Kim in her Middle School years and will never forget her kindness and caring for her friends. There was always that twinkle of mischief in her eyes and she had a unique ability to make others smile and feel better about themselves. My condolences and prayers for her family.

I remember Kim as a caring, thoughtful and kind. She was always fun and she always cared deeply for those around her. Life threw her some hard punches, but her resolve and love for her children revealed that she possessed a strength not many of us have. She will be missed.
