Passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on October 24, 2008 and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, at the age of 84 years. Born in Rimouski, Quebec on September 16, 1924 she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and is lovingly remembered by her children, Joseph, Kevin, Laurette and Suzette; sons-in-law, Darell and Wayne; her grandchildren, Shauna, Derek, Kaylie and Jakob and many relatives and friends in BC and Quebec. Laurette will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Grateful thanks to the Geriatric Outpatient Department and the Staff on 2 West at the RJH. Prayers will be offered in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Father Peter Ho in ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2060 Haultain Street, on Thursday, October 30th at 12:10 p.m. followed by a reception in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Parish, Father Ho’s Missionary Fund, 2060 Haultain Street, Victoria, BC V8R 2L7.
