The finest man I ever met.
The finest man I ever worked for.
I sailed on Provider with “beefy” ,he was the LCO and I was a L/S and
before I left I was promoted to a P2 thanks to him.
The day he retired I picked him up at the main gate at dockyard and delivered him home.
The last time I saw him was at Can Tire a few years ago and only had
time to chat for a couple of minutes.
Shirley ,my condolences to you and your family,God bless .

  • Ed Hayward C2ER4 Retired

I’m so sorry for your loss, I haven’t seen Wayne since a reunion some time ago. I spent a week in Stadacona hospital when somebody came back from leave with the mumps, my jaw muscles were sore the whole week from laughing, could never understand where he got the nickname Beefy.

Served in the damage control school Esquimal with Wayne during the sixties.
