Les passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by family. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 21 years, Arlene Leier. Les’ kind heart, positive spirit and joyful approach to life touched everyone who knew him, and his warmth will be remembered always.
Les is lovingly remembered by his brother and best friend, Brian Timothy, his children: Danielle, Jason (Shawna) and Jay, and his grandchildren: Sophie, Corbin and Kalen. He will also be greatly missed by Arlene’s daughters: Kelly Heintz (Pat), their sons Aidan and Evan, and Chelsea Giordano (Mike) and their son Eli. Family meant everything to Les, and he treasured every moment spent together.
Les had a special gift for bringing people together. Whether it was gathering with friends, the Snow Turkeys, MMCC or golf buddies, he was always planning the next get-together. He and Arlene travelled extensively, sharing adventures and experiencing the wonders of the world. And no one who knew Les could forget the unmistakable joy on his face as he arrived in his red 2002 Thunderbird convertible, a smile that said he was truly enjoying life.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the many friends, past and present, who shared in Les’ life, laughter and friendship, especially his longtime friend, Monti Richardson.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the Sequoia Center at McCall Gardens Funeral Service, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, B.C.
