It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our brother, uncle and dear friend, Lorne Roman Markic. Very enthusiastic and creative in his youth he enjoyed drawing pictures and portraits. He was a thrill seeker who liked to go rafting, cycling and was an automotive enthusiast.

Lorne enlisted in the military as he wanted to serve his country and found it interesting to be stationed around the world. Born in Winnipeg, but his military carreer would transfer him to Nova Scotia and eventually have him at his permanent residence in British Columbia. He frequently would travel to warm destinations and spent his time exploring tropical and/or different places around the globe.

Lorne is predeceased by his father Roman, mother Edna, brother, Kelvin and his survived by his brother Brian (Sheila), niece Hannah and numerous friends and extended family.

Our hearts are forever saddened by his passing but our memories of Lorne will live on forever. Funeral arrangements to be determined at a later date.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

I am so very sorry to hear of Lorne’s passing. I used to go dancing with him and play pool. He organized fun game nights at his condo building. He will be dearly thought of and greatly missed.
