It is with sadness we announce the passing of Lorraine.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lorne; her daughter Diane, son Glen (Tina); sister Linda and brother-in-law Steven (Donna); her two grandchildren Connor and Mackenzie; niece Renee (Randy) and nephew Kelly; and great niece Meeka and great nephew Rocky.
Her love of family was very important to her, closely followed by fabric and crafting. She cherished her lifelong friendships and filled the average day by connecting with as many people as she could. These lasting bonds were held close and made stronger with Lorne at the recreational division of their family business, Firbank Farm.
Lorne, Diane and Glen would like to sincerely thank all the staff and medical support of the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, and the first responders that helped Lorraine in a time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC V8Y 1B4.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Health Care Foundation (towards medical equipment).

I only met ‘Aunty Rainy’ a handful of times with Renee, but she was always kind and cheerful whenever our paths crossed! I’m so sorry for your loss, I know she will be dearly missed.
We were so sad to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a champion for so may and never did she shy away from a challenge. She’s left a wonderful legacy with you kids and the grands! I hope that the emptiness that you feel today will be filled with beautiful memories when you are ready.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lorraine. She was a big part of my growing up years in Deep Cove. I will always remember her and the crafts that we would do in the summer making rock mice and clay sculptures. We will miss her dearly. Condolences to the family.
