BISAL, Margaret Purves (nee McMunagle) passed away on October 19th, 2002 at Victoria General Hospital. Margaret will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 41 years, Marvin; her children, Anne (Jason Jones), Sara (Hazen Bezanson), David (Jo-lee); her grandchildren, Payne Jones and Margaret Anne Bezanson; her brother and sister-in-law, William and Anne McMunagle, her nephew, John McMunagle and family of Ottawa, cousin, Ian Murdoch and family of Edinburgh, Scotland. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Margaret came to Canada in 1951. She trained as a nurse at Ottawa Civic Hospital before marrying Marvin in 1961. She enjoyed travelling with Marvin and the various cities they were posted to during his career. She had particularly very fond memories of their time in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania. After settling in Victoria, resuming her career she became very active in the BC Nurses Union. Recently retired she was looking forward to spending time with her young grandchildren. A voracious reader, talented cook, devoted wife and mother, Margaret’s passion was her family who will miss her deeply.

A Memorial Service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, 1400 Vancouver St., Victoria, BC at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29th, 2002. Reception to follow at the Union Club of BC, 805 Gordon Street, Victoria, BC.
