Margret Gaiesky

April 15, 1929 – June 16, 2010

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our Mother and Oma at Victoria General Hospital, Intensive Care Unit. Margret was born in Lebong Tundai, Sumatra. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rudy in May 2000; eldest son, Roger in July 2001; her mother and father and her brothers, Richard and Ulli. She leaves to celebrate her memory, her children, Shane (Leslie), Tania (Ben), Tami (John) and Bruce (Judy). Also survived by her ten grandchildren, Jacob, Mimi, Mariah, Christian, Kristopher, Kevin, Sean, Ryan, Nikolas and Katya. Mom also leaves behind her brothers, Alfred and Kalli and her Tante Ia and family of Germany; special friends, Gordon and Margie Thompson and Suzanne Pleice. She will also be missed by her many friends in Sidney, Victoria and Prince George. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the care and compassion shown to Mom by the doctor’s and nurses at Saanich Peninsula Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit of Victoria General Hospital.

A Memorial Service will take place in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the charity of your choice in Mom’s memory would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
