She is survived by Florence Palmer, her only remaining sibling. Mary came to Victoria in 1949. She retired from HMC Dockyard in 1981 where she worked in Ship Repair. Mary was well known for ‘marmalade’, the proceeds of over $10,000 was donated to the Salvation Army Victoria Citadel Building Fund and Westsong Community Church. We will miss you coming by the shop to pick black berries and the jam and marmalade you made for us. But most of all will miss you; a warm and friendly lady who was a pleasure to know and “serve”. I am grateful that our paths crossed.

I might not have been able to visit as often as I wished. But every time was a treasured moment.
And now only my health keeps me away at this time when family should be together.

Grant thee patience when the hours are heavy.
In hurt or disappointment give thee courage.
Live one day at a time enjoying one moment at a time and able to accept hardship as the pathway to the next adventure.
Give thee strength for today, and hope for tomorrow and the many the great day that dawns to come

Blessings to All and those around you Maggie

Dear Florence: You have lost a treasure but God has gained a gem.

Will be praying and thinking of you over this time. May you be strengthened through God’s love for you and by knowing others do care and pray.

Growing up I, Sandra will always remember her smile and greetings. I loved her marmalade and believe it, still have some.

Blessings upon you. Angus & Sandra
