Passed away peacefully on October 29, 2020. He was born in Peterborough, Ontario on November 23, 1951. Predeceased by his father Harold; he will be greatly missed by his wife, Debbie; brothers, Tom, Doug, Bill; his Mom, Betty, all our family in Ontario and our family in Maui.

Murray’s love and passion for music was one of his most favourite ways to spend his time. The ultimate though was the many, many trips he made with his wife Debbie to Maui. Watching sports together was a favourite cheering on the Blue Jays, or The Toronto Maple Leafs, or his team the Seattle SeaHawks. Murray moved out west in his early twenties and knew this was the place he wanted to be.   Murray was so happy having just reached their 30th Anniversary together. Also, a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses and staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital for the loving care given during the last few weeks.

It is with our deepest sorrows we offer our condolences to you Debbie, and all extended family members with the devastating news of Murray’s recent passing. Murray worked at our business for 34 years and was the type of employee any company would value. He always showed up and performed his job without issue. There was always lots of sports chats especially about the Maple Leafs & his big $1.00 bets with Deb against the Canucks. Be strong Deb and lean on your faith to help you get through these very tough times. Love from our family.

Debbie and family: I shed a few tears on reading of Murray’s passing. He was such a kind and gentle person and such a great friend to my late son Kevin. He was so helpful and kind to me on Kevin’s passing a few years ago and we have kept in touch over the years. Debbie, you know that you were everything to him and your trips to Hawaii, music and sports made his life a happy one. I hope he and Kevin will get together in the other world and make music together.

My deepest condolences to Murray’s partner, Deb, his friends, and family. Although it has been many years since I have seen Murray, our shared friendship, as band mates, and also coworkers in the forest industry, has always stayed with me. He was a great guy, and many times I have wished his musical talents were more available to me, as we live in different towns. Over the years, I have missed his great smile, laugh, voice, and acutely precise attention to musical nuances, and have thought of him often. I know he will be missed by many, including myself. Rest easy Murray, You will not be forgotten.
