It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard in the early morning of Saturday January 31, 2009 in Victoria, BC. Richard was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on May 06, 1936. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Marlene, his brother Bob, his daughter Lana, sons Rick, Kelly and 5 grandchildren.

Richard lived in Saskatoon where he graduated with honors from City Park Collegiate in 1954 and then hired on with the railroad. In 1966, Richard moved to Victoria where he worked in the dairy industry. Richard spent his retirement years as a property manager for Brown Brothers Apartments.

In lieu of flowers a charitable donation in Richard’s honor can be made to the heart and stroke foundation. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In Richard’s memory “Live, Love, Laugh; Life is too short.”

Goodbye Pops…
