Rita passed away with dignity and in quietness on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Born in Victoria on May 23, 1929, she spent her working career with Royal Trust as a Trust Officer. Loving little ones, she volunteered many years with the Children’s Church at the Victoria Truth Centre. Her cherished friends and family received a greeting card from her on every special occasion of the year. Rita was a Member of the Florence Chapter #53 of the order of the Eastern Star. She exceeded, by far, her fair share in financial support of many charitable and humanitarian causes. A quiet gentle lady, she loved to work in her garden, arrange flowers and enjoyed reading. Those who knew her well have lost a genuine and dear friend.

Sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. She lived just across the street from us (we are at 2866 Inlet Avenue – just beside Pat and Doug which is how we heard the news).
We would see Rita from time to time and she loved to say hello to my daughter when she was a little girl. Rita seemed a sweet, gentle lady.
