It was with great sadness that I read of Bob’s passing. Please accept my condolences and know that it was not only an honor but such a pleasure to have met Bob and Mary while I was at The Kensington.

Every visit was greeted with a smile, a joke or a laugh. I miss those days and send my very best to Mary and family.

Mrs. Burrows, Bob, Ann,Donny,Walt, John & family :

I was just notified of the passing of Bapco and would like to
express my deepest sympathy. Wow, what a celebration of life you must have had, so sorry that I missed it. He was such an inspiration to so many kids whether he was instilling good sportsmanship or just a word of wisdom, such as , ” I don’t care what you do just don’t get caught ” !!

I won’t mention any names , but , the 2 oldest sons had a small party one weekend while Mr. & Mrs. were enjoying a nice relaxing weekend up-island. But the rain came & they decided to come home early. Unfortunately they didn’t phone to say that they would be home early & were not to impressed to see that every mattrees in the entire house on St Patrick Street was now on the living room & dining room floor . !!! Couldn’t ground the boys for long ’cause we had a B’ball game the next nite & Bapco didn’t want the boys to miss a game.
Those memories & his love of life with be forever with me.
    Edgar.

It’s a testament to his character that I still remember Mr. Burrows from when he managed our ball team in 1968 and 1969. Only 2 short summers, yet I still feel the positive influence that he provided more than 40 years ago.

My sincere condolences to the family.

Mary & Bob attended Mom and Dad’s services in 2008 and 2003. That particular generation had a lot in common – service to their country, marrying warbrides and “family”. It is obvious that Bob was a terrific and dedicated family man throughout his many amazing years. Take strength with your loved ones now and know that his dear memory will be held in your hearts forever.

    Sincerely, Jill Connell

Bob had a tremendous influence on me and a number of other ball players that he coached . He not only was a teacher of the game of baseball, he was also able to build character and confidence in his players while creating team cohesion. Bob made you believe in your abilities and created a respectful atmosphere among players on his teams. The most important way that I can hope to pay tribute to Bob in my career as an educator and school administrator is to emulate, in some small way, the virtues and integrity he possessed when working with youth in our community.

My sincere condolences to the Burrows family.

I don’t know where to begin to address the impact Bob, (Bapco) had on my life, but it’s not about me, it’s about one of the Greatest People I’ve ever had anything to do with in this town!

Bob was a sincere, loving, tough, yet, a gentle Man, who put others before himself and I was one that experienced that over my sports career.

He was my mentor and I looked up to him more than anyone else in sports in this town. He was my driving force to accomplish what I managed to accomplish.

Bob assisted many young atheletes in this town from behind the scenes. Typical Bob!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Family.

You only die if your forgotten in the hearts of those you leave behind! Bob will have everlasting life in my heart!

Gone, but not forgotten, Thanks for everything Bapco, rest in peace!

    List!
