It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert, after a sudden decline related to a private battle with cancer, April 14 2024.

Robert was born in Kenora, Ontario but raised in Winnipeg where he studied at the University of Manitoba in civil engineering and business management. After a successful corporate career in the petro-energy and food industries, he located to Victoria with his family forging a new career in real estate with DFH and Remax Camosun.

Robert is survived by his wife Wendy and children, Jenni (Christian) and Robin (Katie), and granddaughters, Stella and Sloane.

Throughout his time in Victoria, Robert was active with Saanich Rotary, and found great camaraderie in retirement with friends in Uplands Probus. From the late 60s, he enjoyed almost every summer at his favourite place in the world, the cabin he built on Lake of the Woods.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Robert’s life at the family home in Sidney, Saturday, April 27, 2024, between 2:00 and 5:00 pm. RSVP is requested.

In lieu of flowers, please make directed donations to the BC Cancer Foundation. Please contribute soon — donations made before May 31, 2024, will be matched.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
