Robert (Bob) Bacon passed away peacefully at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital at age 83. Bob is survived by his wife Jean, and daughter Teri (Kelly).
He was born in Montreal to Jules and Marie Bacon on May 22, 1939. While in high school, he met Jean Together, they settled in Calgary Alberta. Bob worked in the oil and gas industry, and spent much of his career in Human Resources Administration.
Bob retired to Victoria, B.C. in 1990. He and Jean enjoyed a variety of hobbies in retirement, including painting, winemaking, ballroom dancing, maintaining a small hobby farm, and spending time walking the beautiful paths of the area with his family and their dogs. His friendly, approachable nature and hearty laugh will be fondly remembered by the people whose lives he touched. He was a wonderful soul and will be missed dearly.
At Bob’s request, no funeral service or memorial will be held. Donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency. The family wish to thank the Palliative Care staff at the Royal Jubilee and Saanich Peninsula Hospitals who cared for Bob over the last several months.

We met Bob and Jean when we both lived at Fable Beach homes about 30 years ago. We became friends and often played cards together and always enjoyed each other’s company. We went on Several Cruise holidays together. Sadly Bob will be missed by us but we will continue to play cards with Jean and keep up our life long friendship. We will always remember Bob as a special friend.
