UNGER Bob (Robert), born November 20, 1939 passed away suddenly September 3, 2003 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by his Mother Lillian Maud and Father C. James Unger. Bob will be greatly missed by his brother Jim Unger of Victoria, SisterDebbie and Brother in-law Danny Parker of Victoria, Sister Shirley (Ron) Mann of Mallory Town, Ont., Brother Steve (Nene) of London, England, Nieces Annalise (Dean) Sekyer of Victoria, Susan (Dave) Barton of Thousand Islands, Ont., Catherine and Stephanie Unger of London, Nephews Steve and Eddie (Amanda) Parker of Victoria, great- nephews Logan and Benjamin Sekyer, and Dylan Parker of Victoria, Bob’s God Son Brendan Appleyard of Bahamas. Bob will also be sorely missed by Shirley and Jim Fentiman (and family), Annabell and Randy Daniels (and family), Flo Parker (and family) and many other close family members and friends from London, Ottawa, Nassau, and Victoria. Born in London, England, he served in the Royal Artillery of the British Army and spent time in the jungles of South East Asia. In later years Bob worked as a gag writer for his Brother’s cartoon panel “Herman”. Together they won awards throughout the world. Bob had a great love of children and animals. He was an authority on Ancient Greek Civilization and had a passion for reading. But best of all, Bob had the ability to make people laugh. Bob was a loving, generous, loyal brother and friend who will remain in our thoughts forever. Special thanks to Dr. Lewis Mackay and staff of Victoria, and members of the Saanich Police and Ambulance Services for their care and support.
