May 10, 1962 – January 10, 2013
Rockie passed away on Thursday, January 10th at the Richmond Pavillion in Victoria. Predeceased by his parents, Bert Frederick Lowe in 1993; Lois Louis Lowe (nee Elves) and his sister, Lanie Louise Lowe in 2006. Survived by his wife, Liz Lowe (nee Eckman); his three children, Don Eckman (Sean Eckman-Dempster), Tyrai, and Gabe; his granddaughter, Emily Fleming; his sister, Pennie Young; his nephew, Jonathon; and niece Caissa, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in BC, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Royal Jubilee CCU and the Victoria Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at McCALL BROS., Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, January 16th at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Victoria Hospice are greatly appreciated. “Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.”

Rockie made such a positive impression for the kids at SJA and was always so easy going. We enjoyed our conversations with him -and his family.
