Ron Shuman was born June 27, 1927, in a log cabin in Rolla, BC. He passed away April 2, 2011, in Victoria, BC, after bravely fighting his third round with cancer. (Literally fighting- just two days before his death he tried to punch his nurse!) Survived by his loquacious wife, Donna; feisty daughter, Marie; two sisters; a brother; large extended family and dozens of plants which he cared for affectionately. Ron met his wife in 1987, had his first and only child with her at the age of 63 and was married in 1992. Ron was a huge flirt and a great lover of Western films and music, Kahlua, liquorice, and playing crib.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 5:15 pm at Oaklands Chapel, 2736 Fernwood Road, Victoria, BC. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
