Donna, Sorry for the loss of your brother. I do not think we had the chance to meet. Russ was a very good friend, and was involved for 24 years working on my race car, travelling in Canada and the
U.S. to many different race tracks. We had many adventures together travelling to racetracks and trying to get back to the Island for work on Monday morning. Russ would fix the scrapes that I would get at the racetrack, take his turn driving the tow vehicle (speeding ticket at Redding Calif at 100 mph in a 70 mph zone),
watching the white line because the fog was too thick to drive the
Highway. Russ would talk to me just before I was going on the racetrack. He would stand on the racetrack (no cones for Russ)trying to help me by me driving around him for my line into the
corner. He would sneak up behind you and grab the wrench you were using and have a cheshire grin on his face when you were
looking for it, or he would hit the car or smack his hands together
and laugh at you as you jumped.

Russ was a real true friend and he will be missed by Roy, Michael
and Robbie Haslam. May he Rest in Peace and I know there are some racers up there that can use a good body man, painter, mechanic and friend.

    God Bless Russ

Donna Our condolences from the Worth Family for the loss of your brother. Russel, you will be missed by me and my family as we knew each other since 1969 and ultimitely ended up working for us for about 5 years and then took over the remains of my business. We had lots of fun, a few tears, but we remained friends to the end. I actually owe him my life when he saved me from falling thru the roof in the new shop I was building. He grabbed me by the head to keep me from falling 20 ft into a blasted rock foundation. We loved your sence of good natured humour and admired you for you efforts when you worked for us. You will be missed. Thanks for being our friend.

Hello Donna, I’n so sorry to hear about Russell’s passing, I’m not sure if we met before but Russell was one of my husbands’ two mechanic’s he had for his race car called “DA Judge” a 67′ Shelby Mustang. Russell was a very loyal friend to us and we all had some good times back then. Take care of yourself and it does get a little easier as time goes by. Sincerely, Cheryle Butler

Please accept my sympathy at the loss of your brother. Aside from your personal feelings, there are always other problems to look after. You are always so responsible and caring and your brother’s passing will give you more things to settle. I hope this duty will be completed without too many problems. My thoughts are with you.

i was saddened to read of Russ’ passing. I often visited with him when in Victoria and he was a very pleasant man considering the problems he was experiencing these past few years.
My memories will be fond, as i hope yours will be after your grief has faded.
