Sandhyaben Bhatt passed away peacefully in Victoria, B.C., on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Sandhyaben was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sureshchandra, in 1994. She is survived by her children, Ashesh (Nima) and Dhara (Mehul), and her grandchildren, Zeel (Ryan), Amber, and Ria.
She was born in Viramgam, Gujarat, India on January 7, 1941. She married her husband Sureshchandra in 1965 and spent her cherished married life across several cities in Gujarat before settling in Vadodara. In 2001 she followed her family and immigrated to Regina, Saskatchewan. After living in several cities across Canada and the United States, she made Victoria, B.C. her home in 2007.
She made each moment of life memorable for herself, her family, and her circle of friends. Sandhyaben walked with her head held high, dignified, always ensuring the best in life for herself and her loved ones. She spread joy and happiness with an infectious smile and warmth, touching everyone she met in life.
A Memorial Service Celebrating Sandhyaben’s Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026, at 10:00 AM PDT.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and the Hospital at Home care team at Royal Jubilee Hospital for the care and comfort they provided to Sandhyaben and our family in her final days.
