Passed away on November 9, 2008 in Victoria, B.C. Born in Ardore, Italy on February 2, 1931. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Grace; daughters, Rosemary (Gary Quinn), Theresa (Joby Baker); son, Joseph (Deanne); grandchildren, Stefan, Sabrina, Felicity, Jocelyn, Melody, Ethan, Nadia and Chloe. Saverio came to Canada in 1963. He worked mostly as a carpenter for The Coast Guard. Sam was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved his family more than anything else. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 785 Burnside Road West, on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Entombment at Royal Oak Burial Park with reception to follow at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 750 Hillside Avenue, Victoria, B.C. V8T 1Z4.
