    Dear Diane and Family,
Barbara let me know of your mother’s passing. My heart goes out to you. I know what it is to lose a mother; it is not easy.
Take every kindness for yourself and drink up the comfort offered by friends and nature.
You will be in my heart.
    Much love,
    Bonnie

    Her Journey’s Just Begun

Don’t think of her as gone away,
    Her journey’s just begun;
    Life holds so many facets,
    This earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.

Think how she must be wishing
    That we could know today,
    How nothing but our sadness
    Can really pass away.

And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched….
For nothing loved is ever lost –
And she was loved so much.

Although I really never got to know my mom, my sister Janice would always tell me wonderful stories about her. It was nice that we had a few times together, nice conversations, some laughs. We never had a chance to create any of our own memories together, but one day when we meet again in heaven, we can create whole lot of them. Rest in Peace, mom.

Grandma Shirley, I will miss your courageous, stubborn and stoic personality.
I could always count on you to tell me like it is.
I only wish that more women had the gumption to go through life like you did.
Never one to sit quietly as other ladies, you were to be heard.
We could all take a page from your life book and be that much better for it.
I’m so proud to be your granddaughter.

I miss you grandma. I love you and look forward to seeing you again and hearing about the trouble you’re getting into in Heaven.

My Grandma was a stubborn, courageous and stoic woman. In her youth she was a dare devil and a vocal oddity in her time, never afraid to speak a thought even though she was expected to be quiet.

I loved the talks we had over the years when she moved back to BC.
I will miss the advice she gave me. My grandma was wise and lived a full life. I am so proud to have been her granddaughter.
She will forever be in my heart.
    I miss you already.

    Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep- I am with you still- I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift, up lifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone- I am with you still – in each new dawn.

I will miss you mom, I am grateful we had the last 4 years together. You were there when I was at my darkest, we cried, laughed and talked for hours. I was privileged to hold your hand and stroke your face as you crossed over peacefully.
You will be with me forever my mom my friend
    Love Diane
