It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Stanley Anthony Ivor Bullock on June 29, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Stan is survived by his loving wife, Jean; daughter, Linda Hudson (Jim); granddaughter, Lisa Husdon (Michael); grandson, James Hudson and great-grandson, Noah Husdon.
Stan was born in Wednesbury, England on November 5, 1927. As a young man and after graduating from the University of Cambridge, Stan immigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter to teach in Winnipeg. He later moved into administration for the Department of Education (Manitoba) as Director of Curriculum. Stan was well-respected and liked by his students and colleagues. He loved history and soccer and kept up with world affairs. Highly intelligent and well-read, it was a joy to have robust discussions on almost any subject with Stan. Even in his final years, when his body failed him, Stan still retained his very sharp mind. Stan was also a man of integrity. He was honest, kind, and had a great sense of humour. Most of all, he loved his family and we loved him. Stan, Dad, Grandad and Great-Grandad, you will be so very, very missed.
