April 14, 1915 – August 5, 2011

I am saddened to announce that with love by his side and permission to join Joanie, Popeye passed. He leaves daughter, Debbie (Bernie Talbot); grandchildren, Todd (Michelle), Staci (Mike), Craig (Natasha); great-grandchildren, Cashe, Lola and arriving soon, new baby Talbot. He also leaves brothers, Tommy (Olga), Joe (Estelle); nieces; nephews; close friends and Kitty Kitty. Predeceased by his wife; parents; sisters, Ann, Margaret and brother, Peter. A longshoreman for many years until retirement, he loved his hockey, the Canucks sometimes and off track horse racing at Murph’s Pub. Many thanks to Ardis, a fantastic Victoria Hospice, VIHA Home Health and Dr. Leslie.

A Service of Remembrance will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Friday, August 12th at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow in McCall’s Family Centre. Donations, if desired, to the Victoria Hospice Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
