Our lives have been forever changed after the unexpected passing of our dearly loved best friend and partner, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, teammate and coach.
Todd was born in Victoria, BC on September 27, 1975. Todd is survived by his best friend and fiancé, Michelle Maloff; beloved daughter, Izzabella Sophia Novia Buchan; devoted mother Barbara Buchan; sister, Tammy Buchan-Grant (Dan); nephew, Brodie Harvey (Kresta); niece Mariah Grant; nephew, Kole Grant; many cousins, friends, teammates, his mother-in-law, Beverley Maloff and his dog, Shortbuss.
He was predeceased by his father, grandparents and friend.
Bucky had a lifelong passion for playing baseball and a new found passion for coaching baseball. One of his favourite pastimes was cheering for his hockey team, the Boston Bruins. He was a proud Canadian who loved Vancouver Island and was happy to call it home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at

Pat Hall Dear Barb and Tammy.
I am very sorry for your loss.
It is very hard for me to recognize the man that people talk about in their messages as the young boy that used to run around Central Park. Sounds like you brought up a good son who made you proud. Well done.

Ian Flint I had the pleasure of being teammates with Todd on the Barts Men’s Fastball team at Macdonald Park. He always brought his A game to the park. Just like his Dad. He will be missed by many of us. To Barb, Michelle and Family, my thoughts are with you at this time.

Jacquie Michelle, Izzabella, Barb and family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Todd was a great guy he would do anything for anyone. I got the pleasure of knowing him on a more deeper level off the field when he and Michelle got together. They were so in love it was contagious. Todd loved his two girls so much as well as his family and friends. Todd made me a part of his family officially the day he asked me to be Izzabellas Godmother and I am so grateful to have that beautiful memory of him. May you rest in peace Todd watching and protecting all of the people you loved from above.

Jamie Gaber Todd to me was a friend, a teammate, another human being that I got to walk with. First word that comes to my mind when I think of you…Kind. First image I see when I think of you…..standing in shin pads leaning against the fence talking with the boys about random MLB facts, spitting shells. Did you ever know an incredible amount of baseball stuff. I had the privilege of trash talking you for being a Bruins fan….I got to laugh with you many times on our heinz 57 team. I’ve seen you serious, smiling, fired up, and excited- and the very last time I saw you; you where so happy- got yourself a beautiful girlfriend, you where living together, work good, ball better:) That is what I will remember you by.
