We are sad to announce the passing of Bert Santarossa. Bert was born in Italy, immigrating to Canada in December 1951. He is predeceased by his wife, Rina and brother-in-law, Angelo Rizzo. Bert is survived by his children: Severina (Ken) Sapriken; Antho (Barbara) Santarossa; Ernestina (Robert) Wilson; two grandchildren: Anthony Wilson, Jenal (Jason) Coakley; sister, Elia Rizzo; brother, Casimir (Gina) Santarossa; and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bert enjoyed 34 years working for the City of Victoria as a gardener at Ross Bay Cemetery.
Prayers will be offered in MCCALL BROS FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Ross Bay Cemetery with a reception to follow at MCCALL BROS FAMILY CENTRE. Flowers are gratefully declined. I send my deepest condolences for your loss. Berto was so kind to Patricia and I when we came to Victoria. It will be a trip I will always remember, where I meet all of my Italian relativies. I am unable to attend the funeral this Friday. Please know I am praying for you all!

I’ve only just read of your Dad’s passing. When I saw the photo you posted with his obituary, it made me smile. He was a good looking man. I will always remember his and your family’s kindness to me. Though late, I offer my condolences.
