Walter Campbell Thomson
June 4, 1927 – April 4, 2010
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Walter lived a wonderful and full life. A Professional Engineer, sailor and eclectic collector, Walter will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind to remember him, brother’s Alexander (Margot) and Peter (Chris) and their families, son Walter (Sherri), daughter Dree (Randy) and grandchildren Graham and Andrea.
A special thank you to all at the Lodge at Broadmead, Walter’s home for the past few years and to the care teams at the Victoria General Hospital, Emergency and Neurosciences Units.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 1 p.m. at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, 1400 Vancouver Street (at Johnson).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Broadmead Care Foundation of BC, 4579 Chaterton Way, Victoria, BC V8X 4Y7.

Sharing with you in spirit as you remember a life lived on its own terms and with a passion for the next adventure. One vivid memory is of Walter stopping in at Somenos Road – way back when we were kids – on a motorcycle road trip, grinning from ear to ear! More recently, the same smile surfaced as he got to enjoy being a grandpa. So sorry not to be there with you today.
