Peacefully, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away at VGH on October 14, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born within the sound of Bow Bells along the River Thames on the 16th of June 1933, Bill was a kind and gentle man who lived his life as he treated others; with dignity and respect. Bill with his loving wife, Carolyne and two boys, Mark and Michael, immigrated to Canada from England, in the 60s where Bill took a job stocking shelves in an Ontario, market. Together, their drive for a better life, lead them to Victoria, where Bill turned a job opportunity into an ownership role in a local logging company. Retired for 20 years, Bill and Carol, were avid golfers and enjoyed the links in many far away locations including their winter home in Mexico. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, sons and granddaughters, Megan, Erin and Elizabeth, as well as his extended family, spread throughout the world, and by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
