TAPP – William Rennie (Bill) passed away peacefully with his family present on August 11, 2009 at his home in Saanich. Predeceased by his wife Mary and sister Betty. Lovingly remembered by daughter Judy, sons Bob (Susanna) and David, and grandchildren Charlene, Jordan and Brandon.
Born in Toronto on April 15, 1922, Bill spent his early years in Ontario and first came to the west coast in 1942 as an RCAF radar technician. He met Mary while stationed at Patricia Bay and they married and settled in Saanich in 1946. Bill then trained as an accountant and was employed with a number of businesses in the Victoria area, including the BAPCO paint company, where he worked for almost 20 years and became Treasurer, Slegg Brothers Lumber, Fleming Review Printing and Manning Press. In 2001, he was honoured as a 50-year Member Emeritus of the Certified General Accountants Association of BC.
