McCall Gardens

Kind, generous, wickedly smart and a feminist before her time. Hedy was a force to be reckoned with and the world is a lesser place without her. She died peacefully in a sunlit room July 9 after a short battle with cancer.

Predeceased by husband Ray (Feb. 5, 2001), she will be deeply missed by daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Dave, granddaughter Jordan and extended family. Memories of her sharp wit, sense of humour, sage advice and scrumptious meals will never fade.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in Hedy’s hometown of Lipton, Saskatchewan in late August. Condolences and memories can be shared with the family below.

I have fond memories of shared talks, walks and laughs with Hedy.

She is greatly missed. Our condo family is not the same without her.

WE HAVE MANY WONDERFUL AND FUN TIME MEMORIES–AS HEDY WENT TO TEXAS WITH US and our first son-Glen in 1956–we also visited her and Ray many times in B.C. Erven spent a lot of time with Hedy before they were both married and have many pictures that we have been looking at this week-SHE ALWAYS HAD SUCH GOOD AND POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT OUR FAMILY AND WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER WORDS–WE LOVED HER AND ALWAYS KNEW SHE LOVED AND RESPECTED US –THOSE ARE THINGS WE WILL NEVER FORGET–MAY GOD BLESS HER!!
