My condolences to you. I only met George once but my impression of him was identical to all the other condolences mentioned above. My heart goes out to you.
I hope to hear from you. I hope you are well.
Since our teaching days in Peguis, MB, I bought a home in Wolseley, after a 5 year teaching stint in St. Theresa Point, MB, (from 2015-2020).

  2. It is with a sad heart I have come to hear of Dr Skelly’s passing. I worked with him in Moose Lake from 93-96. He was kind and generous with his knowledge and mentorship of me. He even would bring me lunch every Thursday! It was a pleasure to read up about what a celebrated life he had lived and those who he had touched.- he truly was a good man and the last of the pioneers. Rest easy George you are missed- Ian

  5. Dear Laura and family,
Our deepest condolences in the loss of your very dear husband and father. We always enjoyed Laura and George’s impromptu visits – very thoughtful of them to stop in on their way back to The Pas. He will be remembered for his smile and great sense of humour. We will be left with fond memories of him. May he rest in peace.

  6. Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your very dear husband, Dad and Grandpa. Michael and I were so saddened to learn of George’s death. We have fond memories of George when we lived at The Pas, in fact, he gave me away when I got married. George was such a kind, generous, caring man was loved and respected by family, friends, patients and was an excellent Doctor. George will be missed.
May Peace and Strength be with all of you at this very sad time

  7. My deepest condolences to Laura and everyone in Dr. Skelly’s family on such a great loss.
Dr. Skelly was my family doctor for many years. He was so kind, caring, and a very professional person. He was overloaded with patients but treated patients with respect and even though the waiting room was full up, he went about his duties cheerfully and often stopped to observe everyone in the waiting room. He would have a smile on his face and often times say something humorous. Patients felt loved and wanted. He served faithfully in his chosen profession. His dedication was obvious. He worked really hard.

Let precious memories warm your hearts and may you have comfort knowing that others care and that your loved one’s reward in Heaven will be very great. Keep these memories safely tucked in the clefts of your hearts. God bless you as you go on the journey of life knowing that Dr. Skelly would want the best for you.

  8. Condolences to all of Dr. Skelly’s family and close friends. He will always be remembered with a smile for his gentleness and sense of humour, but most of all as a never ending resource of medical knowledge .

  9. We have fond memories of Dr. Skelly. He was a kind man and a good doctor. Everyone knew him wherever we went for medical treatment. If we mentioned Snow Lake, the nurses would say ” Do you know George?” He always took the time to visit and chat. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
