Kate and Alan Cowood My dear Das Family – the loss of someone so loved by so many, Bob had all the characteristics of a true gentleman. His kindness, sense of humour and loving not only his family and friends, but also the many patients and confreres during his life. I was blessed to spend a little time with him and Helen 2 weeks ago, and he had not lost his sense of humour or showing his love . We miss him.
Love to the girls, Helen and family.

Moira Dick I’m very sorry to learn of Bob’s passing. He was such a lovely, kind and devoted husband. I always admired Bob’s devotion to Helen as he would drive Helen all the way from Central Saanich to Oak Bay for her early Sat morning salon appts, when she was unable to drive in recent years. What a gentleman, and he always had the kindest smile.
Jen, Catherine, and Sheila, the loss of a parent leaves a void in your heart, but you have a lifetime of wonderful memories of what he meant to you all to comfort you.
My sincerest condolences ❤️

Kelly We were deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Bob Das’s passing.
Bob and his family were such a special part of our lives growing up. We have so many wonderful memories of the almost weekly dinner gatherings, the laughter that filled the room, and the genuine friendship our parents shared. I fondly remember the summer barbecues and the beautifully decorated cakes that Helen would make, each one created with so much care and love.
Bob was a truly kind and sincere man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that brought joy to everyone around him. He was always smiling, always entertaining, and always made people feel welcome.
The Das family gave us so many beautiful memories that we will always cherish. Bob’s legacy lives on in those moments of friendship, laughter, and love that he shared so generously with others.
Our heartfelt condolences to Helen and the entire family. Bob will be remembered with great affection and gratitude.
Sincerely, Michael, Rebecca & Lisa Kelly

My sincere condolences to Bob’s entire family, to whom he was truly devoted. Bob was an accomplished and illustrious medical school graduate when he completed his training in India – most of us would never have known that, until Helen told us about the breadth of his academic achievements and awards. Bob was highly respected in the Victoria medical community. He was kind, considerate, and thoughtful, and was esteemed by his patients. I had the privilege of knowing Bob for more than 40 years, first as an intern, then later as a colleague, and for many years as a patient in my own medical practice. Bob had a mischievous sense of humour, and could always be depended on for providing a laugh at just the right time. On many occasions, Bob would arrive at my office with various delicious Indian food recipes that he had prepared for us at home – he really did spoil us. We used to joke that he should retire from orthopaedic surgery and set up his own restaurant. Bob was very widely read, and could always be counted on for a great conversation on almost any topic.
Bob may be gone from our lives, but he will always live on in our hearts.
