Remembering with affection Hilda, my dad’s youngest sister, who was a schoolgirl when I was born in 1930. I will never forget the lovely visit to Hilda that my husband Bob and I made some years ago. Since then we have had many interesting telephone conversations, and I always valued her advice. I will always remember her and the family in my prayers. May she rest in peace.

Liz and Bill, Our sincere sympathy to you and your family. I am sorry I missed the funeral, but know that we will keep you all in our prayers at this time. Hilda had a great spirituality which shone through in her life, in her music ministry, as a reader of the Word and at CWL meetings. She lived a good life, may she rest in peace.

I first new her as Miss Hartley my grade three teacher and she would have us stand and say the lord’s prayer every morning before class, sometimes for a treat she would have us sing the prayer while she played the piano in our classroom. She also had us sing God save the queen. She was a classy Lady. She left a lasting impression on me.Heartfelt sympathies to her family.

  • Karen Morris (Boteju)

My fondest memories of Mrs Wharf include her being our choir teacher at St Patrick’s School, our play coordinator and more personally all the time she spent with me preparing for my Victoria Music Festival performances. She was a lovely lady who I was fortunate to have in my life. My deepest sympathies to her family.
