Janet died peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Selkirk nursing home in Victoria, B.C. She was born in Victoria on October 17, 1924. Predeceased by her loving husband, Earl in 1990, Jan is survived by her sons Darrell (Leisa) and Gerry; her grandchildren Kimberley (Kent) Sheldrake and Christopher Cairns; great-grandsons Lukas and Sean Sheldrake; sister Dorothy Lloyd; nieces and nephew and their families.
Jan and Earl spent many happy summers at Deep Bay, and wintered in Yuma and Palm Springs. All annual trips seemed to always go through Reno. Jan was a long-time member of Brentwood United Church & the Wellness Group.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at McCall’s Floral Chapel, Johnson at Vancouver St. followed by burial at Royal Oak Cemetery, then refreshments next door at Sequoia Gardens.
