Alban Francis McAuley, how grateful I am to have known him and to have been his assistant for so many years. His capacity to love his family, create and maintain deep friendships and be the embodiment of a devilish sense of humour made him one of the most unforgettable people I have ever known. He was a humble man who blushed if you hugged him, not even realizing how enormously huggable he was. He was an incredibly decent man and we mourn his passing but will forever be grateful for his time with us. Phyllis and family, thank you for sharing him. Please know we share your sorrow.
Dear Phyllis and family,
My heart breaks to hear about the loss of such a wonderful person. Alban was such a kind soul and he always had a twinkle in his eye. He was so proud of his family and cherished the time he spent with each of you. He will now be leading your family from heaven. I’m sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts are with you at the loss of a loving husband & father -Al & I had a wonderful telephone chat last October about his early days in Montreal when he was 15 years old & had just arrived in “the big City”. When I mentioned that my daughter & I were visiting Montreal for the first time the following week,he was very enthusiastic and shared some wonderful memories with me -LynneveStewart

Al always took extra time to make me feel I was his only client. He talked a great deal about his family…especially his grandchildren.
We enjoyed catching up whenever we saw each other at the golf course.
I was fortunate to have known him, and extend my deepest sympathies at this very sad time in your lives.
