January 10th, 1928 – May 30th, 2013
Al passed away peacefully Thursday morning with his loving family at his side. Just recently predeceased over a year ago by his precious older brother Donald MacLachlan, Al leaves his family to mourn him, wife Lena, daughter Donna (Donald Gillies), son Ken (Lurdes) MacLachlan, and daughter Marie (Paul) Machek along with five grandchildren Fraser, Tessa, Travis, Curtis, Christopher, and his special great grandson Adam.
Al retired after 43 years from the E & N Railway (CPR Division) in 1985 as a locomotive engineer. He then enjoyed many years with his love of racehorses and spending time in his garden with his stray cat Keeper.
A funeral service will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson at Vancouver Street at 12pm on Thursday June 6th, 2013 with a reception to follow in McCall’s Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, Dad asked that any donations be made to the Victoria SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane.

Dear Lena, Donna and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Allan being a quiet, thoughtful man who silently put up with a bunch of squawking teenage girls when we would descend on your house for lunch. I have very fond memories of your family and send you my heartfelt condolences at this sad time.
