It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Michelle Bell on November 21, 2025. Amy was born in Victoria on August 19, 1989, and spent her life at home with her parents. Amy was predeceased by her Nana (Wilma Taylor) in 2023. She leaves behind her parents (Kevin and Lori Bell), her beloved sister Alison (Patrick McBride), niece Rowan Amy McBride, her grandparents (Doug and Joan Bell) and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins that she loved dearly.
Amy was known for her infectious smile, hugs, sense of humour, innocence, and unconditional love for everyone she met. Amy attended Hampton, Lake Hill, Arbutus, and Reynolds schools, where she made friends easily and deep connections with her Education Assistants. Amy had a spark that drew people to her, and she taught simple Sign language to everyone she met. As an adult, Amy attended Good Neighbours Day Program and Music classes through Lifetime Networks. She loved to sing, dance, go on outings in her community and shop at Thrifty Foods. More than anything, Amy loved her family, friends, assistance, and caregivers.
A Celebration of Amy’s Life will be held on Friday May 1st, 2026, in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive at 10:00 a.m. For anyone wishing to attend via zoom, please email Keith at keithbellpda@gmail.com to recieve the link.
Amy will be laid to rest at Hatley Memorial Gardens.

Dolores Mebs Dear Lori, Kevin and Alison
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Amy.
I first met Amy at Hampton School when she was in my grade 2 classroom. She was a precious member of our class. Amy was so well liked by everyone, gave us all hugs and lots of smiles, taught us all to use sign language and so much more about life.
A few years ago, I saw Amy at a Music in the Park event in Saanich. She loved music so much and there she was, dancing away near the stage. I went to speak to her, and she gave me her big, happy smile that always brought me so much joy.
I think of her always when I wear my ‘Piglet’ pin she gifted me. And now just memories of a dear little girl I was blessed to know and to be a part of my life. Thinking of you at this very sad and difficult time. Sending hugs to all of you.
Love,
Dolores Mebs

JOANNE FRASER Dear Lori and Kevin,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved daughter Amy. I first met you and Amy at a COCF Mom’s group coffee meeting when Amy was just a year or so old. I remember her as a beautiful and happy child, and the joy she brought to all knew her. I didn’t know her as an adult but it sounds as if she lived her life to the fullest through an number of community activities and enriched the lives of those around her as well. Thinking of you and your family.

Dear Kevin, Lori and Alison:
What a beautiful sendoff for Amy today. You captured her spirit and love of life so well – the video of Amy and your family was very touching and a perfect way to remember her. It was also very nice to see her caregivers and school friends in attendance. I know her spirit will live on with you forever. God bless her.”Somewhere over the rainbow” indeed.
