Angie (Angelika) died peacefully, surrounded by family on March 31, 2017. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children, Jason (Adrienne), Alison, Julian (Mai) Macnaughton; eight young grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Leila and Ann; brother, Jurgen (Lorraine); extended family and close friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ian Smith.
Angie lived life with passion, freely sharing her joy, kindness, loyalty and thoughtfulness with all those close to her. Angie enjoyed numerous adventures including skiing, snorkelling, flying a plane and travelling the world to experience new cultures. She particularly valued spending time in the outdoors, whether she was going for a walk with her Charlie or just appreciating the fresh air and sun. She loved good food and wine, reading, the arts and sharing time with her family. Angie’s grandchildren loved to dance, swim, play, laugh and be with their Oma. Throughout her life, Angie expressed love and gratitude for her family and friends and was particularly appreciative of the support she received in recent years.
At Angie’s request, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Victoria Hospice Foundation.

To Jason, Alison and Julian and the rest of your family
My sincere sympathy to you with the passing of your Mother. I have fond memories of how kind and supportive she was while you studied piano with me. “You never get over the death of your Mother, but you learn to live with it.
