It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Mother on May 18, 2011. Angie was married to David for 63 years, who passed away in Nov. 2009. Mom had a great zest for life and was always the life of the party. She was a fabulous cook known for her large Sunday dinners and famous for her homemade wine. She had integrity, was strong minded, and had strong faith. She was thoughtful, kind and had a great sense of humour. Mom was a lifelong hockey fan and loved the Canucks. Her dream was to see the Canucks win the Stanley Cup! She had a green thumb and a soft heart for animals as she grew up on a large farm in Saskatchewan with her 12 brothers and sisters. A wonderful teacher and mentor to her five children: Catherine (Nis), Cynthia (James), Janice (Bill), Glen (Linda), Garry (Linda). Her endearing interest in her grandchildren: Trevor, Erika, Brigit, Dana, Kendelle, Heidi, Kersten, Brent, Shonda and 5 great grandchildren, made for a tight bond and a great legacy. We will miss her dearly and she will leave an indelible hole in our hearts. Til’ we meet again, À VOTRE SANTÉ!
Prayers will be offered at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at ST. ANDREW’S CATHEDRAL, Blanshard and View Streets, Victoria, BC with a Reception to follow at the family home.
