Born on April 23, 1949 in Marano Marchesato, Cosenza, Italy. He passed away suddenly but peacefully in the presence of his family on June 20, 2013 after a very recent diagnosis of cancer that he bravely faced.
Angelo was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Filomena Ruffolo, sister Antonietta Greco (Vincenzo), brother Gioacchino, brother-in-law Leo Chiappetta and nephew John Ruffolo. He is survived by his loving sons Vincent, Michael, David and former wife Nancy. He is also survived by sister Carmela, brothers Frank (Anna Maria), Mario (Lois), sister-in-law Raffaela, brother-in-law Noel, many nieces and nephews, extended family in Italy and countless friends.
Angelo immigrated to Canada in 1972 and was an active long standing member of the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre. He had tinkered in many trades from being a barber to serving in the Italian Military to a career membership with the IUEC Local 82 as an elevator technician. In 2000, Angelo moved into a retired lifestyle where he enjoyed spending time with his brothers in their gardens, exercising at the recreation centre, playing Keno at the mall and always enjoyed a great soccer match. However, his genuine passion for children will be most remembered by everyone. Angelo’s boisterous laugh and twinkle in his eye will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
A Mass to celebrate Angelo’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 753 Burnside West, Victoria, BC. with visitation at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Victoria Cancer Society (101-1537 Hillside Ave., Victoria, BC V8T 4Y2).

Angelo & I spent many hours (exercising?) on the treadmills and solving the world’s problems.
He was so interested in our family, especially our 6 granddaughters. He waited to hear how they did in their various competitions, always asking about each of the girls by name.
Angelo was a good man who sincerely cared about others. He extended himself to people and has many friends at the Commonwealth Fitness Centre.His passing will leave a big hole there and they will miss him greatly.Our condolences,

I miss you Angelo! Miss your smile, wit, laughter and friendship. You passed before meeting Melvin (2 months into pregnancy) however you were the first person we told.
