With sadness, we announce the passing of our mom, Margery Ann Ellison (Reekie). She died peacefully on December 8, 2023, at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. She was born on January 4, 1930, and spent her childhood in Manitoba.
Ann is survived by her children, Christine (Carol), Elaine, Elizabeth (Cole) and Morgan; grandchildren, Lucas and Julia (Nolan); and predeceased by her son, David, in 2005. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Ann graduated from Brandon General Hospital as a registered nurse and later worked at Kelowna General Hospital. She became a long-time resident of the Okanagan, marrying, and raising her children in Oyama. Ann was strong of character, an excellent organizer, keenly interested in current affairs and loved travel and adventure.
No funeral by request. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for our mom during her time in hospital. Arrangements entrusted to McCall Gardens.
