March 9, 1941 – May 20, 2009
With sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Asaad Haskour, beloved husband of 27 years to Angelina. Born in Aleppo, Syria, Asaad came to Canada in 1972 where he worked as a skilled upholsterer for 20 years. After retiring in 1992 due to health reasons he spent his time travelling with his wife and especially enjoyed cruising. He often visited back home (Syria) where he was predeceased by his parents and three brothers. There he will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Antoinette, Gorgette, Weedad and many nieces and nephews. Here at home (Victoria) he will be missed by his youngest sister Yvette (Michel) his nephews, Allan and Fadi and his niece, Paula.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at St. Andrew’s Cathedral Parish, Blanshard and View Streets at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.

Cherie Ezzeddine Angel, oh my goodness, I am saddened and shocked to hear of your husbands passing. You and he were the only two who did not treat me as a lepper and made me feel like I had some worth. I will not forget your kindness and our chats at Hillside mall when I worked there at Suzannes.
