Audrey Elva Peters, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30, 2025, in Victoria, BC. She was 96.

Audrey was born in Kelowna on March 3, 1929.  Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Nolen Peters, and her parents John and Elva Long who owned the Greata Ranch in Peachland for many years. Audrey is survived by her three daughters, Jo-Anne (Bob) Maxey, Cathy Wightman, and Heather (Mike) Steele, along with six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Audrey is also survived by her older sister, Catherine Cornwell (“Aunt Kiggie”, 98 years young) of Kamloops.

Audrey loved to go on cruises, vacation for the winter season in Arizona, and play golf and bridge. She was known for her immaculate fruit preserves, with her lucky grandchildren growing up on canned Okanagan peaches.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held in the Okanagan in Spring 2026.

I feel blessed to have met her many times, she was funny, loved the company of Cathy’s dogs and always had a kind word to say to us.
I will continue to remember her when I pass Gretta Ranch or her pretty house in Peachland! Hugs to all the family, may you find peace during your time of grieving and loss
