November 15, 1944 – February 18, 2011
Barbara Lee Wolfe (nee Armstrong) passed away February 18, 2011 in her home in Victoria. Barbara was born on November 15, 1944 to Elizabeth and John Armstrong in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec. She is survived and will be dearly missed by son James (Alison); daughter Jennifer (James); and grandaughter Emma. Affectionately known as Nana B., Barb was pillar for the family and her spirit positively impacted many during her time with us. Her caring nature, energy and love were cherished and will be sorely missed.
“Each day I strive to live by my personal motto: Everyone has limitations. What is done with the limitations determines success or failure. Remember, laughter is really the best medicine, Barb.”
Celebration of Life will be held at MCCALL BROS FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson at Vancouver Street on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:00pm, the Reverend Canon Andrew Gates officiating, followed by a reception in the Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, 950 28th Avenue West, Vancouver, BC V5Z4H4 may be made in Barbara’s honour. Condolences may be offered at www.mccallbros.com.

I will miss her smiling face.
Your Mum was a very kind and thoughtful person, always making time for those who needed an ear. I was fortunate to know her.
My most heartfelt condolences, she left this earth far too soon, and we are poorer for her passing.

Jennifer and James and Family – It was my priviledge to have worked with your mother and through that connection become friends as well. We would get together for lunch every couple of months or so and share stories about life in general and, of course, our dear grandchildren. I will always cherish how special she made me feel when I first became a grandmother. Our last visit together was so special as she shared her trip to England with me. I was so happy for her that she had been able to fulfill this dream. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time and you can be assured she will be missed by all who knew her.
Barb and I did not have much time to talk much because work was very busy at Beacon, but I remember one day talking with Barb about Rouyn Noranda, as this was a town I used to play Basketball in the old days and she would speak few French words with me and tell me some little stories about the place and then we would share some laughter together. Her laugh was contagious and sincere, she was a very dedicated person and always ready to help others. I will miss Barb.
Barb’s pleasant, friendly voice over the phone and her smile in person at her desk while sorting schedules… guess the man above needed someone special to organize things and knew she was the best. Always will be in our thoughts and prayers as we will certainly miss you dear BARB. Condolences go out to her family at this time of sorrow.. One of the best gone but never forgotten….
Jennifer and James – I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know your mom over the past 3 years. She was a very caring woman, an awesome teacher and had a great sense of humor. I know I speak for many people when I say that she will sincerely be missed!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family at this time.

It was a shock to learn of Barb’s passing away. She was the favorit schedular of many of the clients I go to. She will be sorely missed by all of us and especially by me. God be with you in this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Jean Weaver
We send our love and strength …. hugs across the miles for all of you. We think of our potlucks and bar-b-q’s up north and how your Mom always made something wonderful (like the frozen lemon pie!) Good memories that will always be cherished. Love to all of you.
