Barry was born November 29, 1941.  Left us too soon on June 17, 2025.  Predeceased by his father Jack in 1944 and his mother Ida in 1997.  He leaves his wife of 62 years, Donna, his daughter Teri (Marlon), son Ron (Kiyoko); grandchildren Kailee (Aaron), Kelsey (Mark), Klayton (Josie) and Landon; great grandchildren Haddy, Hayes, Faye, Brady, Beau and Emma.

Barry grew up playing sports, a goalie for the Shamrocks in the 60’s.  He continued with his involvement in Lacrosse with the Shamrocks and the McDonald’s Bread Junior A’s.  Sports was a huge part of Barry’s life and brought him so much joy.  The TV was always on the Sports Channel.

Barry loved his camping trips in his camper, fifth wheel, and a few motorhomes.  He also enjoyed the eight cruises Donna and him did together.

A special thank you to all the doctors and medical staff at the VGH and RJH, and to Island Health for their care and patience with Barry.  In lieu of flowers a donation to Kids Sport Victoria can be made to help kids play all the sports that were so important to Barry.

Barry will be fondly missed by his family.  There will be no service as per Barry’s wishes.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
