Lavonne parker Dear Marg…
We are sincerely sorry for the recent loss of your best friend, partner, and husband. Basil was always ready with a smile, a hand wave from the sitting room window, and we enjoyed listening to him talk about his past and of course you, his bride! He will be missed by many, and will be a tough act to follow. We are so lucky to have met Basil and you, and miss our small talk at the door way of your home.
You are in our thoughts at this time……

Liana Tinker My sincere sympathies to Marjorie and family. I had the pleasure of meeting my dear friend Lynn’s “Uncle Basil” many years ago. He was always so full of life and had a fantastic sense of humor. I remember “January” birthday dinners, learning how to play Euker (if that’s how you spell it) and laughing at his great jokes. I drive by the home on Richmond every day on my way to work and think of those days with such fondness. He was a great man. All my best during this sad time. Liana

Marilyn David Sincere sympathies to Basil’s family, especially to my good friend Marjorie, she has been so strong and supportive for all the time this wonderful man has been ill. I enjoyed being with them both when Basil was a neighbour, he was funny, and caring, interested in everything that was happening outside his window. I feel a great sense of loss, he will be sadly missed. I will treasure a yellow bird house that he made after his retirement, it has a special place in my garden. I wish for peace and strength to Basil’s family during this sad time.
Marjorie, I would just like to pass on my condolences to you & your family on the loss of Basil. You & Basil were great neighbours for 15 years. We enjoyed each others company, had a lot of laughs & heard a lot of Basil’s stories (some true, some not so true).
I know he will be missed by his family & friends.
I wish you well & all the best in the next days, weeks, months & years ahead.
