Am thinking of you at this deeply sad time old mate. Many of us remember her so well and we know that you a strong man with amazing resilience but lean on all the good will and good offers of help lots of people would walk over broken glass for you my friend. Suffice to say (and I reckon I speak for all OKRFC clan) if there is anything we can do you know you just have to ask.

  6. Dear Fraser and Ruairi,
My deepest condolences to you. It was truly a privilege to care for Bernadette and get to know her a little bit over the last few months. Even on her most challenging days, she filled the room with sunshine and it was delightful to always leave our visits having received a warm hug from her. I’m sorry that I’ll miss her service but I’ll be out of town at a palliative care physician conference. I will carry her memory in my heart for a long time to come.
    Warmly,
    Dr. Jody Anderson, Victoria Hospice

  9. Bernadette was everything anyone could wish for in a friend kind caring loyal .What stands out is herlaughter and happiness that touched everyone who new her. I would defy any friend of Bernadette’s to not have a realm of funny stories to tell. For me far to many ranging from a cheese and ham toastie to a mushroom farm in Marrakech with an obi won kinobi. Her memories will live on with us helping to make us smile when we feel sad.

  10. What a woman, what a sister. Bernadette lit up rooms and lives she entered into; her sense of fun and mischievousness eroding any resistance! Never self conscious in her desire to amuse, she was honest and forthright, speaking her mind with conviction. My sister was no saint, she was an angel; a crazy, vibrant, spirited woman. As we missed you when you emigrated Bernadette, we will continue to love and remember you with affection and pride. Fraser, Ruairi she was so proud of you both, continue your journey, she will always be with us all
